Martlet Bird

Martlet Bird: A mythical bird without feet. Its inability to land is considered symbolic of a never ending journey for knowledge and truth. Perpetual flight equalling eternal perseverance & hard work to find your own way in the world.

Iztac: Nahuatl for the color white.

Finally done with my junior year. Extremely happy and grateful that I had the chance to study abroad. Definitely something that I will always remember.

I’m glad I have a month before I have to go to work, this way I can dedicate my time to my family and friends :)

Happy Saturday!

“It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.”

Hahaha, yet another example of color blind bullshit.
Maybe you should go educate yourself about institutionalized racism and sexism because you’re kinda just making a fool of yourself. When you say “we are all human beings!!~” you are trivializing the experiences that women and people of color have in this country (among other minority groups).
At the end of the day there IS NO systematic racism/oppression against white people, especially not white men. I will not stop worrying about sexism or racism because these are real things with real consequences.
Also, you’re privilege is showing.

Reflection

I’ve learned many things these past few months but the most important one is that I will never change the way I am just to please people. I am happy with who I am. I am happy with the way I look. I am happy with the way I act. I’ve come to accept that most times I rather be on my own. I’ve come to accept that I do not connect with most people and that is okay.

And because of these things I will go to great lengths to reconnect with people who I like. I make efforts to keep certain friendships growing. It doesn’t happy with just anyone, in fact it doesn’t happen with most. But I am so grateful that I have people in my life who truly understand me and know me beyond the superficial things. At the end of the day what matters isn’t WHAT I have rather WHO I have in my life.

"I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born, but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. That’s not pro-life. That’s pro-birth."
